No, the dog did not bite- nor did the bee sting. And I'm actually not feeling particularly sad (if you are confused at this point, refer to song "My Favorite Things" from Sound of Music), but as does everyone, I have stressful things in my life. So, I decided to blog about some of my favorite things that help add joy and pleasure to my life.
DISCLAIMER- I'm not as materialistic as this post may suggest. This post is intended to be mainly about "things" and it should not be summized upon completion of reading this post that I am so superficial as to place such "things" as favorites above the obvious such as the Gospel, my wonderful husband and sweet baby, reading my scriptures, saying my prayers, etc., etc. All givens...all favorites. This is just for fun!
Also, if you didn't already see it, check out one of my MOST FAVORITE THINGS EVER in the post below this...and that's girl time with my spunky little girl.
Our new gym. Ahh-I can move again. I love the feeling of being on a good work out routine again. Even the "I'm so sore I can't move" feeling. I welcome it.
Hand in hand with the gym are my new running shoes. My old ones hold many memories, blood, sweat and tears- but were absolutely FILTHY from my outside runs on the trails this summer. (These aren't my exact shoes, but pretty close.)![]()
My new favorite daily outfits are sweat suits. Yes, I did become that woman. But hey, they are comfortable, stylish and perfect for days that you are at home. Why should I clean my house and hang around in tight jeans? No reason. Therefore, enter "super comfy sweatsuits". Especially great for "that time of month".
My reading nook. No, this is not mine. I wish it was. I was too lazy to grab my camera and take a picture, but I do have a reading nook. I love it. It is where Montana and I read her books and also where I read my books and scriptures. I've always wanted a place like this!
I've always loved nuts. Mostly walnuts. They can be pretty fattening though. These 100 Calorie packs are the perfect snack.![]()
Mary Kay Timewise Skincare- I just bought this again for the first time in a few years. My sisters friend Kristina is a consultant and I finally know someone again who sells Mary Kay. They have great skin care products and I love the facewash and lotion.
I love this show. It is so motivational and so intense. I'm inspired every week and SO wish I could have Bob or Jillian as a personal trainer.
The Bachelor for me is a love/hate relationship. I love to watch it but I hate that the couples never seem to work out. However, this season I have faith in the bachelor chosen. Jason is a great guy and has proven every episode that he's there for the right reasons and looking for the woman he's going to marry. Let's cross our fingers for him, even though Bachelor odds of lasting are pretty much slim to none.
MAC make up. I'm addicted. I love it. It makes me feel pretty-and although it is expensive, there is no comparison in my mind.
I went shopping with girlfriends a few weekends ago and they introduced me to this fabulous store. I bought a shirt that I love and look forward to shopping there more. Watch out-it's addicting and they have a website for convenient shopping.
Marc bought me an I-Touch for Christmas. I love it because it holds my music and is now my daily planner. Eventually when I get a wireless interenet router it will also be a lazy way for me to check the internet without even having to get out of bed or off the couch. Yes!
Now I pretty much ALWAYS have a plain waffle for breakfast. But...the last week or so I have switched a couple mornings out for Fiber One cereal (I like the frosted wheat kind). Fiber is AWESOME to have in your diet and so I figured while it was more calories, it's actually giving me more of my daily nutrients than I was getting from a 90 calorie waffle. Plus, it tastes better because it's frosted. Yum.
Gotta love American Idol. Even though, as a singer, I get so annoyed with the screwed up process, it's fun to watch.
And last, but CERTAINLY not least. Bubble baths. K, ladies, brace yourselves. Guess what my husband has been doing? In the last week he has drawn me three bubble baths. THREE. Without being asked, no special occasion, just because, bubble baths. Seriously. Now, sure he does join me, and yes there may be alterior motives sometimes, but hey I get a nice relaxing bubble bath with all the fixins, including candles. I asked him last time what I did to deserve it, and his response was the best part, "Well, I just decided that after a long day that this is something you probably need. It's actually one of my new years resolutions to make you a bubble bath when you need it." What? Seriously? Awesome, right? I know, I know...I won the lottery. I love him so much.
Alright, so this was actually kind of fun. If you are reading this and would like to do it I think it would be cool to read some of your favorite things. I'm always looking for new cool products, foods or tv shows to try. What are some of YOUR favorite things??

Girls Night In
Last night Marc went with the youth to do baptisms at the temple. So, it was just us silly girls at home. We did silly things. Like a funny faces photo shoot.
I thought we were doing a blow-fish face in the above one. She just wanted to mean-mug.

How to tell you're turning your kid into a Chocoholic...
Montana is coloring in her big Disney princess coloring book...
I usually only give her two or three crayons at a time, because...hmmm, I don't know now that I think about it. But that's just what I do.
She's getting pretty good with her colors and will ask me for different ones, "Blue, Orange, Green, Purple"....those are her favorites...
Well, this time she came and asked my for the "chocolate milk crayon".
I said, "You mean the brown crayon?"
"No Mommy," she says matter of factly, "the BROWNIE crayon."
So apparently brown is not a color to Montana-it's all different forms of chocolate.
Like mother-like daughter. :)

Have I told you latley that I love you!
Stacy,
I know, wipe the shocked look off your face, because yes I am blogging! Well do not get use to this…. I just was sitting here trying to do some work and I could not help but feel overwhelmed and impressed to write this! Stacy, I am so grateful to have such an amazing person to spend my eternity with! Thank you for putting up with me! I know I am not the easiest person to get along with. I thank our Heavenly father each day that I have you in my life. You are such a great example to me. I love you so much! Thank you for working so hard with our pride and joy. I know at times you want to punch the wall in frustration, but you are pivotal to her development and she cherishes the ground you walk on! When she climbs up on that piano chair to play the piano and sing twinkle twinkle little star, she is mimicking you Stacy! What a humbling it experience it was to kneel across the alter from you to be sealed for time and eternity…. This blog I am sure does not make sense… However, I am sure that you make perfect since to me as my wife! Thank you and I love you with all my heart!

I Found It!
I finally found the software for my camera. It was actually in a very practical place (isn't that always what happens) that now that I think about it, I think I put it there originally so that I could find it easily. Oh well, at least my closet o'junk is now a organized and clean.
Logan and Whitney love each other.
The weekend after that, we had our niece and nephew (Mike and Brooke's kids) for the weekend. Montana LOVES Blake and Maryn and so they were all excited for a sleepover.
Getting ready for chocolate chip pancakes via Marc (Pancakes aren't my forte-well, actually, I haven't tried making them much because well, my husband is a pancake king. Who needs to make a pancake when you live with the pancake king?)
My younger sister Whitney, who has also babysat for Mike and Brooke a few times, came up to our house for some homework help and joined in the fun! We had a full house and it was FUN!
Lastly, this last Tuesday a bunch of my cousins and my sister and I got together for lunch. I'm lucky to have so much family that lives so close. I only got a few pictures of a few of us, but it was a lot of fun! Thanks girls! :)
