Best of Friends, Squared

My long-time best friend, Maran, whom I've been close to since kindergarten, came into town a few weeks ago with her daughter Hannah. Maran is pregnant with twin girls and due in July, so her mom threw her a baby shower while she was here. Luckily, I got to steal them away for a few days!!!

One of the days, we went to Chick-Fil-A, where they had never been! :) Man, oh man, were they missing out on all that chickeny-goodness.

And then we took them to the EG park/pond to feed the duckies.

Another day we went to Bounceopolis in Folsom and the girls bounced around and had a fun time!

We love it when Maran and Hannah come but it makes us realize how much we miss them! Come back soon!!! :)

Tweedilideet...

Tweet...it used to be the sound a bird makes.

Nope folks...not anymore. Now everyone tweets-ESPECIALLY celebrities, apparently.

So, I've heard.

What the "h" is twitter- and what the "h" is it all about, seriously? I mean, I went to Twitter dot com to check it out, because hey...I blog, I facebook, why not add ONE MORE OBSESSION to the list, right??

So, I add a profile. And alas...I have no followers. Oh...ya gotta find them first. Well, apparently NONE of my email contacts TWEET-TWEETER-TWITTER, whatever. They don't do it.

Is it a big deal? Am I out of the loop if I don't do it? Do you do it? Will you be my friend and we can "tweet" the senseless details of our lives to each other through mini blogging?? I mean, Ashton Kutcher even does it, so it must be cool right? haha

Well, nonetheless, the profile is set up. I have not one follower and I don't follow anyone else. As of right now, I am solely updating myself on the senseless details of my life. Seems completely reasonable and makes TOTAL sense. So...if you do "tweedilididilideet"... my username is stacerbabes.

Oh, just kidding. I am following one person now. Ashton Kutcher.

Haha. Tweet tweet, ya'll.

Lucky US!

We have some really cool friends that gave us some really cool stuff. Despite the gift giving, they are just cool people, but its really nice of them to give us what they've given us. They have a four year old daughter and are finished having children so they are kind enough to bestow upon us any clothes or toy's she's outgrown. We've previously been the beneficiaries of two tricycles, a rocking chair, three or four birthday presents that they gave to Montana and tub-fulls of clothes and shoes. This time, they came bearing even more-as if the aforementioned was not ENOUGH!

They gave us a tub FULL of all different colors of hair bows/ties/rubberbands/etc. JACKPOT! Little girls hair ALWAYS needs something in it, and honestly, it can get expensive. Not to mention there were about 8 pairs of little sunglasses in an assortment of colors. If you ever see her wearing a pair of sunglasses that don't match her outfit now, I'd be surprised! ;)

We were given TWO HUGE TUBS full of summer and spring clothes- with sizes enough to last this season and NEXT year! Oh, and did I mention they all LOOK brand new and that each outfit has its matching pair of shorts/skirt/pants/ etc ??? The brands, the styles, the looks-everything is the WORKS. And little Miss Montana now owns about eight bathing suits.

Montana has LOVED dressing up in it all. There are plenty of dresses-which she is REALLY into right now. It makes her feel like the princess that she is.

The cherry on top of it all (for Montana of course-because for me, it was ALL fulfilled in the clothes! I was in heaven...) was the Powerwheels ATV! This thing has been TOO much fun. Check it out!

Not to mention at Christmas time, we received a huge box FULL of Omaha Steak products. We didn't have to buy meat for months. There is STILL some in the freezer. Seriously, we have lucked out! We owe the Tomiak's BIG time! Sushi on us...soon! :)

Easter

I love Easter-because it is a holiday to remember the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us, as well as His resurrection that made it possible for us all to return home to our Father in Heaven. Not to mention it is ALWAYS on a Sunday, so being able to attend an Easter service at church makes it that much more special. This year, I was able to sing a beautiful duet with a woman in my ward and I was grateful to be able to participate and share my testimony through song.

Of course, Easter is also known for eggs, bunny's, candy and ham-and we had some of all those things too! The day before Easter, Marc bought me a new camera because my old one was starting to take pictures that looked like this:
Unfortunately on Easter morning as we revealed Montana's basket to her, our new camera had not yet been charged, so this is the extent of the Easter Basket fun. The girl, as always, made out like a bandit.

After some yummy breakfast we got all dressed up in our Easter Sunday best for a photo shoot with the new camera-

After church, my side of the family came over for dinner.

We got the food together:

While the kiddos had an Easter Egg Hunt

Whitney Jane and I....
Some cute pics of the kiddies
Ryan in his "ride"- doesn't he look just so ready to roll up and ask for your number?
And finally, drum roll please...our family Easter picture. Yes-we matched on purpose.
We hope everyone had a beautiful Easter Sunday!

Weekend-O-Fun with the Barkers

THREE WORDS.... TOO MUCH FUN!!!!!

We've missed you guys. Enough said.

Utah

A few weeks ago, Montana and I jumped into a caravan to take my brother Logan to the MTC. I started the trip with my camera-got to Utah and lost my camera as soon as I got there. And then, found it as I was packing to go home. Fun times...

Here are some pic's of the kiddies making the all night drive to Provo.

And then, it's a blank! With all the family events with extended family that it would have been fun to get pictures with! Not to mention one of my closest friends Maran and I getting together with our girls and not getting a SINGLE snapshot to prove it. Good thing you are coming down this week---I have a new camera, and we WILL use it! Not to mention I didn't get any pictures of Logan in the MTC. Luckily for me, there were others with cameras and here are some great pictures of Logan getting ready to venture into the title of Elder Petersen.
Just outside the MTC-getting ready to report.
Going into the "Missionary Door"
Getting his "dork dot"
He ran into two close friends from home who had just reported to the MTC weeks earlier, Elder Carli and Elder Hogge.
David and Logan
Reality setting in for Elder Petersen
The family with David's fiance Ashley, family friend Kurtis and Aunt Sue. We missed Marc and Dave who had to work and couldn't come to Utah.

Saying goodbye to the kiddies
Getting ready for the send off
Future missionary, Elder Ryan Cashdollar

We are so proud of Logan and his decision to serve a mission. He is going to be amazing and we have already seen so much growth from him through his letters in just a few short weeks. We all know, he will be an amazing missionary. If you'd like to keep up with his mission, please visit this blog that we will be keeping up on his behalf:
