Hangin' with the Schro's

We have had the chance to spend some time with our good friends Warren and Anngela, and their two sweet sons, Timothy and Michael. It had been quite some time since we were able to spend quality time with them...at one point in our friendship (before any of us had children) we spent massive amounts of time hanging out. Marc was coaching with Warren at Galt High, and I followed Anngela's lead as a "Galt Coaches Wife". No really, we even got matching "Coaches Wife" Galt sweatshirts. But of course, having children does change things in life. The nice thing to know, is that even though its changed the amount of time we have to spend with our friends the Schroeder's, it didn't change our friendship.

They came out to see our new place, and we had a BBQ. The kids played and we reminisced...the boys about football of course, and Anngela and I about life and motherhood. She is such an inspiration of positivity and hope to me. She's had a VERY rough year, losing her mom and cousin within a month of a each other. I'm grateful for her example of strenghth and courage!

The kids had fun playing in our empty living room. Montana will be sad she doesn't have a place to run around in once we get the piano here.

Anngela brought some yummy angel food cake with whipped cream and strawberries. Montana loved it...you can just see it on her face. :)

Also, in true Schroeder style, they came bearing gifts. A BEAUTIFUL pot of purple hydraengea's (spelling?) for our new place, and Montana's first Barbie. You guys are too kind!

Then on Monday after Montana's doctors appointment, we went out to Galt to see the Schroeder's toy set up. Their house is Toys R Us. Montana did not want to leave.

Look, he's already holding her hand.

It was so fun to see you guys. We need to do that more often!
